Anybody that knows me, knows that fitness is my thing. I love working out and I need it in order to function on a daily basis. Working out is like my therapy and just makes me super happy!
Being someone who considers fitness a large part of their life, I also know what it feels like to not have access to a gym. Whether you have no way to get to one or can’t afford a gym membership, sometimes that can make you think that there’s no way you can workout! I am here to tell you that this is far from the truth and you can have your own fitness studio from the comfort of your room.
I wanted to share some of my favorite fitness YouTube channels with you guys so that you can get on the health and fitness train without breaking bank! I’ve tried to include a little bit of everything so there’s something for everyone. The best part of YouTube videos is that they’re free, so really you have no excuse but to get your sweat on!Blogilates was my introduction to fitness, and six years later I’m still using Casey’s workouts. I love pilates and plan on getting my pilates certification one day so this is right up my alley! Casey’s energy is infectious and she really motivates you to keep going. Not only are her videos readily available on YouTube, she also has a free workout calendar available on her website so you don’t even have to think about which videos to pair together! This is definitely one of my favorite channels. I love how pilates works such specific muscles in your body and makes you feel so lean and long!FitnessBlender is great for just about everything. They have cardio, strength, HIIT, pilates, warm-ups, cool downs, stretches, etc. I have free weights at my house so I love using FitnessBlender’s strength workouts to build muscle. They also have great HIIT workouts which is probably the only cardio, other than dancing, that you’ll ever see me doing. Their website let’s you narrow down how long you want your workout, how many calories you want to burn, and what you want to focus on! Yoga isn’t for everyone, I get it, but I love it. It’s such a nice change from the high intensity and heavy impact workouts I usually do. Yoga is typically my go-to on rest days or when I want to move my body for a second time that day. These are some of my favorite Yoga flows and there’s something for every level! Here’s another yoga YouTube channel that I love and also the channel that got me into yoga! Adriene has a lot of great videos for beginners and her videos are something that anyone can get into.If zumba is your thing, or Just Dance is your favorite video game, this will be your new thing. Marshall’s energy is insane and his videos are so fun. This is just kind of a channel where I just get up and dance when I see there’s a new video! I promise you’ll have so much fun dancing along to these videos. POPSUGAR is my go-to when I just want something fun and different. It’s also something I’ll turn to if I want to do a second workout that day, but not something super crazy. That’s not to say that there aren’t any intense workouts on this channel! I love all the different types of workouts they have here and the different guest instructors. I’m someone who needs constant change and gets bored easily, so it’s nice to have something different to turn to.
