May Favorites

May has been my favorite month in general so far because school is finally over. Now if only the months between now and September could just take their sweet time, that would be great. Also the weather really needs to start cooperating with my needs because it was literally 90 degrees for only TWO DAYS, and then the temperature went back down; unacceptable. While we wait for summer weather and my crop tops scream at me to let them out, here were some of my favorites from this month!fashionI’ve always been that person that loves jewelry but always forgets to put it on which does not work in my favor because I buy a lot of it. This month I’ve really been trying to up my jewelry game and I’ve been obsessed with earrings that have tassles or pom poms! I’ve gotten the cutest pairs recently and I just can’t wait to style them because they’re so amazing and perfect for the summer!! I’ve come to realize that my taste in jewelry is either super simple and minimalistic or so extra that you’re wondering, ‘is this cute or have I finally crossed the line?’bookI love to read and there’s never a time when I’m not reading a book. Although this isn’t a novel and more of a coffee table book, I’ve been obsessed with Bad Girls Throughout History. I picked it up these month and I’m just in love with it! The artwork is beautiful and it talks about 100 badass women that changed the world in some way. It’s so empowering and I also think it’s a great way to teach your kids about some amazing women!UntitledI’ve never really had super problematic skin, but one thing that I do struggle with is dry skin. It’s really frustrating when almost every single foundation you put on emphasizes your dry spots so I’m a huge fan of the dewy look. Recently I tried the e.l.f. Hydrating Gel Mask and it is a game changer. Not only is it super affordable and cruelty free but it really does hydrate my skin! Every time I put this mask on, I feel like it makes my skin so much softer and moisturized. I love taking a paper towel to take off the mask and then I rub in whatever excess there is!movieA few days ago I went to see Baywatch with my mom and honestly, I enjoyed it. I kind of have a weak spot for “dumb” movies and this one had me hooked. My mom and I had a great time seeing it and it really made me laugh. I don’t want to spoil the storyline but I definitely think you should go see it if you’re in the mood to watch something that’s just a good time and doesn’t require too much thinking. foodRecently I’ve been incorporating more fully raw days into my diet because eating raw vegan really does make me feel amazing. I’ve been especially playing around a lot with dinner recipes that involve veggies and I have concocted the most delicious raw pad thai sauce/dressing ever. I could literally eat this stuff with anything so I thought I would share the recipe with you guys:

– 2 Tbsp PB Powder (I use Crazy Richards)

– 2 Medjool Dates

– 1 Tsp Coconut Aminos

– Half the juice of a lime

– 1 Tbsp Raw Coconut Nectar or Maple Syrup

– 1 Tsp Ginger Powder

1 Tbsp Raw Tahini

Then just add enough water to get your desire consistency and blend! I like making it a littler thicker when I’m using it as a dipping sauce and thinner when I’m using it as a dressing!musicThere were a few options I was deciding between this month but I finally decided that my music favorite deserved to go to Harry Styles’ new album. I love every single song on his album and think his music has such an amazing sound! I was never a fan of One Direction and this is SOO different from that, I’m obsessed. If you haven’t listened to it yet, I definitely think you should put it on your to-do list.
